SoMa Food truck night…

By July 13, 2013 September 6th, 2017 Arkansas, Food
Headed to the second Thursday food truck night at Bernice Garden in the SoMa (Southside Main Street) district last night. Despite the horrible heat and humidity we had a great time. The food was delicious. The only down point of the evening (and yes it was a terribly disastrous down point) was that I ate my spicy dumplings too slow, and we missed out on the Loblolly Creamery ice cream at The Green Corner Store. So sorry my friend! So sorry!

The Southern Gourmasian Food Truck

Wasabi Black-eyed Peas
Spicy Chicken & Dumplings-Rice Dumplings, Caramelized Onions, Shitake Mushrooms in a Black Bean Chili Sauce. They weren’t lying: these babies are spicy, but totally delicious!
Pavilion at Bernice Garden
Pizzeria Santa Lucia…this one is a mobile wood fired brick pizza oven. Terrific!
The Margherita Pizza…fresh mozzarella & heirloom tomatoes.
The Green Corner Store…home of the Loblolly Ice Cream. If only…
At least there is always next time…Moral of this story is Have Dessert First!
I did buy some wonderful lotion made with goats milk and lip balm made by Tammy Sue’s Critters.
The store carries eco home items, hand-crafted jewelry, baby items, and foods. Most are made locally.
